Tip of the month

For Mosquito repellents: Dab Lavender oil on your pulse points; it smells great on you but repels insects.

Beat burned on gunk with cola- just pour enough cola into the dirty pot to cover the bottom, bring it to a boil and et it simmer for a few minutes. When pot ools off, put it under running water to rinse the gunk away.

After Steaming vegetables, use leftover water for houseplants. It's full of vitamins that make plants flourish.

Sprinkle powdered detergent or ground cayenne pepper in the dirt around your sweet corn and it will keep the raccoons away.

Dandelion will do a disappearing act if you spray pure vinegar where the roots were after pulling them. Don't worry about the grass it will grow back fast.

Put "plastic peanuts" used for shipping packing in the bottom of your flower pot. They're light weight but still allow for drainage.

Clean up fallen limbs, branches and other debris around the home to discourage wood eating insects.  Termites=Bad
